In California, the Public Records Act requires that state and local government records be made available to members of the public., with some exceptions.
In addition, some types of records are subject to specific additional requirements, such as site maps contained in Hazardous Materials Business Plans, and documents produced and stamped by registered professionals.
The records maintained by the Fire Prevention Bureau are available for review as required by these laws. Records may be reviewed without an appointment, subject to staff availability.
